A transit project dedicated to connecting the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to the regional rail transit system. Once complete, the Airport Metro Connector (AMC) 96th Street Transit Station will provide the connection to a future Automated People Mover (APM) to be built and operated by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). This project is envisioned to include basic components; three at-grade Light Rail Transit (LRT) platforms to be served by the Crenshaw/LAX Line and an extension of the Metro Green Line; Bus plaza and terminal facility for Metro and municipal bus operators; Bicycle hub with secured parking; a Pedestrian plaza; Passenger vehicle pick-up and drop-off area; Metro transit center/terminal building (“Metro Hub”) that connects passengers between the various modes of transportation 

Description of Role:

BA Inc. is tasked with the conceptual, schematic, and final on-site utility drawings for the project.  BA Inc is responsible for coordinating with all sub-consultants to discuss utility alignments, conflicts, and point of connections (POC’s) for the fire service, domestic water, storm drainage, and sewer design outside of the buildings. Responsibilities also include preparing precise site grading plans through coordination with the Architect; researching and calculating water quality design storages and implementing Best Management Practices (BMPs) to adhere to the Low Impact Development (LID) design requirements and designing facilities to capture all surface drainage to assist the APM project. Coordination was also needed to design the cistern tanks for site volume storage and to ensure all project specifications adhered to Metro Standards.

  • Develop storm drainage, water design, and sanitary sewer plans, profiles, and details

  • Prepare a SUSMP/LID report to meet LA City requirements/standards
