LAX Automated People Mover


The Automated People Mover (APM) is a 2.25-mile elevated guideway train system and the centerpiece of Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). The LAMP is designed to revolutionize the traveler experience by providing easy access to the airport and LA Metro’s regional transportation system – improving reliability and mobility, while reducing congestion and emissions. APM is a historic investment in Los Angeles’ emerging businesses and workforce all while reducing the airport area’s carbon footprint. 

Description of Role:

BA Inc. is performing water utility relocation designs within LAX and city of Los Angeles. Our designs accommodate for proposed station foundations, proposed storm drains, and street geometry reconfiguration. We have relocated potable and fire water mains and trunk lines, potable water and fire water service reconnection within LAX as well as relocation and additional fire hydrants, fire service meter addition and relocation within the project footprint.
